Why do some of these galleries have previews and others not?

Pretty certain the same gallery settings have been used. I'm finding it really annoying not being able to delete old gallery presets too. Any fix on the horizon???

Are you talking about this page - http://www.officialphotographer.com.au/Customer-Login? If yes, I believe you need to explicitly assign a featured image if the gallery is password-protected. You will also need to assign a featured image to the folders.

Feature image is in the basics section of both the gallery and folder settings.
