I think of all the stuff you've ever posted, 4 may be my favorite. Also really like #8.
For me, 1&6 are too "flashy", but that may just be taste.
Great set!!
Thanks, 1 and 6 were flashy on purpose as I wanted her to pop against the background so I underexposed it. Normally I would use an umbrella to soften the light up, but it was too windy. Besides, she likes the more direct light because she says it makes her skin shinier
To me, outdoor flash is like make-up. Both are best when you cant tell it's there.
Then again, in number four, you can tell it's there, but it just simply works wonderfully with that image. It's magazine worthy!
Thanks, we are going to disagree in that then. I'm not saying I executed 1 and 6 perfectly as I agree the light is too harsh, but underexposing the backgrounds and then lighting the subject is what I like to do and I like the look of it.
We spend time in the studio with backgrounds to make them pop out by choosing dark backgrounds, I'm just doing that outdoors.
She looks like a lot of fun to shoot. Good settings and backgrounds.
They look good.....for me I prefer diffused light....but the hard light as used in these works also. Nice job with the colors for the most part.
If you wanted to take some time and do a little subtle skin work on the ones with the hard light it would bring them up to the next level.
Nice job overall.

Thanks and she is fun to shoot with. I like diffused better too but just too windy that day. I do need to go back and take care of some of the highlights on her face.
