Smart Folders

I have a single gallery with 100 pictures. If i make it smart to show say 50 pictures that does not work. It looks like I need a separate gallery to pull from the 100 to show the 50, is this correct

    Sounds like these are all uploaded to this gallery. You could "hide" the ones you don't want showing.
    You'll see them logged in but visitors will not.
