New smugmug equivalent of gallery description in gallery listing?

Hi,
I think I am close to completing the work to migrate to new smugmug - basically replicating whatever customization I was doing in the old world
There is one last bit which I don't see any equivalent of
See the gallery listing on my current site: http://photography.ashish-pragya.com/Travel/China-2007
The gallery description on that page is pulled from the markup of gallery listing, and formatted using some js (to get around some truncation that smugmug would do)
It seems this is now impossible, since I don't see any description in the listing markup in new smugmug
Any ideas if something like this can be achieved in new world, or any such enhancement is in the works?
I am hesitant to migrate over to new smugmug due to this (another hurdle is that I would lose some vanity URLs I have in place on my old site, but that is something I am willing to take a hit on)

You are right, this is not possible using JS in new Smug.
What you do is set up:
Folder
Inside it are "gallery blocks", one block for each gallery you want.
Next to each gallery, block, add a Text or HTML block, and add your narrative to them.
The gallery blocks in one vertical column, and the descriptions in a 2nd vertical column.
I think in NewSmug for each folder (like China 2007) you'd have to add an html box/es to the folder page.
Then compose the html for each box. Not all that difficult as you have the basic html you can copy from
to source of legacy and change the id's/div so your new CSS would format.
My Website index | My Blog
Also, I would then need to somehow invent my own navigation scheme for folders (right now in the non-public new site, I am just using the in-built folder -> gallery navigation). That looks too much work for what it's worth
I really don't need any js, if only smugmug had an option to include gallery description in the listing markup (like the old site - it had description p elements inside galleryBoxes). It would just be a styling thing then.
Or even better if they some ajax type widgets that could pull data from some API (pre-baked, without custom user js) - but I guess thats too much to ask for.
Anyway, seems I am stuck now, so will park the unveiling to another day and time
Thanks for your help

Been raised before, with the usual complete lack of response from Smugmug
