spotted this on a recent foggy morning walk at a nearby marsh, and it had a sort of otherworldly feel to it... it was a very dull, gray, monochrome sort of day, and the image came out almost B&W anyway, so it didn't take much to convert it... ;) 7D, 100-400 @ 170mm, 1/2000 @ f/8...

Great one, Rocky. Nice job of envisioning this image and good execution in PP. thumb.gif

I like this. Also I think the image would be more striking with much higher contrast.

    Also agree...

I was looking at this on my smartphone, and when rotated 90deg. clockwise, it takes on a very *insect* appearance - cool!
Also, It strongly reminds me of the Rorschach Test - not that I've ever personally been analyzed ;-)

I like it. Interesting to me, besides the composition itself, is that even though there is probably no value over a Zone 6 or 7 in the capture, the image seems to suggest the higher values... and artistically, it works within the range you have here... nicely done.
