How do I include the code for a Mailchimp sign up on my pages. I have tried to add HTML but all of the code is visible on the page.

/* Add your own MailChimp form style overrides in your site stylesheet or in this style block.
We recommend moving this block and the preceding CSS link to the HEAD of your HTML file. */
Smug only accepts a subset of HTML. Although I can't seem to locate the related post, something in the back of my mind says you can't embed forms in smug using HTML. That's why smug added a Wufoo form to the content elements.
Hopefully someone else who knows which HTML is acceptable will jump in here.

Actually this is possible. Wuffoo gives you the ability to use MailChimp to collect customers/visitor information {newsletter signup form}. You can read about this here:
http://blog.mailchimp.com/wufoo-form-integration-with-mailchimp/
Note that there's been some updates to Wufoo since that mailchimp blog post in 2010. It's much simpler to connect mailchimp and wufoo ... simpler than the instructions in the link above.
The most annoying thing about Wufoo is customizing the forms with CSS. I can't seem to get it figured out since SmugMug embeds it using an iframe. We can't control the CSS inside the form because it's within an iFrame. You have to customize the CSS on the Wufoo side, and that's not as straight forward as it would seem.

I just added a customized signup form on my site, which includes a custom form that goes to my own server, and it seems to be working just fine.

Would you mind sharing your customization to get the form to go to your own server?
Thanks
