telephoto window reflection

used my 300/4 takumar to get this shot of a building reflected in another48785305-M.jpg
Latitude: 37° 52'South
Longitude: 145° 08'East

Canon 20d,EFS-60mm Macro,Canon 85mm/1.8. Pentax Spotmatic SP,Pentax Super Takumars 50/1.4 &135/3.5,Pentax Super-Multi-Coated Takumars 200/4 ,300/4,400/5.6,Sigma 600/8.

    I love the reflections you've captured here, I dont understand with reflections what makes the wave effect? is it the surface of the glass itself, or just the way the light hits the glass ne_nau.gif I dunno ?

    i have speculated over the distortion and i think its a number of factors that contribute to it-

    it all comes down to the glass-
    • how straight it was set in the frame by the glazers
    • how flat the glass is-eg manufacturing differences
    • differing air pressures in the building and outside(aircon and wind) either pushing some panes in and others out(concave/convex)\
    • Its also an angle thing

    not being a physicist i can only speculate but someone in here may be able to shed some more light on this?
