My Niece's Christmas Present
My niece likes the holiday lights in downtown Fairhope so I told her we could have a photosession there. Tonight I fulfilled the Christmas present. Since we started a bit early, we went to Mobile Bay for some sunset pics and then went to downtown for the remainder of the shots.

Don't take that as a negative comment on the flashed ones....just prefer non flashed.
Technically they look pretty good.

Thanks!
Thank you.
Thanks and I know what you mean.
For 1 I actually used flash. The flash was just out of frame, above her head, using a mini lumiquest softbox, and had a bare flash camera right.
that works

Actually do not like 2) so much. She seems a very sharp personality so do not see the merit in having her scarf out of focus. Just my taste; I am sure she will love the set and treasure them all for years.
she looks like the little girl from Shameless!

Thanks, I was using 70-200 2.8 as close as I could get. I was going more for making her eyes the focus than the scarf.
Thanks!
Thanks, I'm partial to 5 myself.
Thank you
Thanks and she is a poser. It was good to spend time with my niece.
Thanks! For that shot I had an sb800 with a lumiquest sbIII that was just next to her face camera left. I had an sb700 camera right slightly behind her. I was in ttl mode using the pop flash of the d700.
