It's a couple years old, but I feel the same excitement every time I look at this pic. Snapped it from the top of Angel's Landing, Zion NP, in 2011. Thanks for viewing!
Gutsy climb! I hated the fact before I got up there they had signs of exact number of people that have fallen and died. I had too much photography gear so didn't go all the way! Great job!
Thanks! I remember closing my eyes while a very pear shaped older gal wobbled her way down the narrowest portion of the trail. It was about 3ft wide and had 1300+ft sheer cliffs off the side. I maybe even peed a little. Lol
I'm loving this shot. Now I have another bucket list shot to get. Looking forward to having you around the forum.
I would skew it towards the bottom of the bucket list:D.........as mentioned above....1300ft sheer cliffs on both sides and 3 ft wide at times.....and in beginning of the trail they post exact count of number of people who have departed from our midst. Just sayin.....

Hey man, the village of Zermatt Switzerland has a whole cemetery for all the climbers who've been killed on the Matterhorn. And that didn't stop me from almost killing myself there too. :yikes Some people just don't learn.

Next time you see one of those "Eminent Death" signs, try to weigh the toll against the successful climbers. Probably 100,000 people have made it to the top of Angel's Landing. Also, go with a trusted group or friend if ya can. Tell them your fears so they can work with you
At least that's what I do. I have no problem telling my wife and/or friends that I am about to poop mine and their pants at any given time! Ha!

1300ft. or 30ft. - not much difference to your neck...
Apparently I'm one of the *smart* ones around here - I'm sitting at home,
enjoying the lovely view in this image, going-over my bucket list, and not seeing anything
over 5 feet from the floor in the top ten items... now running for cover
I missed the view, and the "immanent death" warning sign and shots, from this when we were there at the Dgrin Shootout due to a rental car that went on the fritz. Had to drive it to St. George and pick up a new one. Either saved my life by not climbing up it or we missed a great view and opportunity. Thanks for the pic of what it looks like up there.
