How do I create a full page slideshow in a "Gallery"?

I'm trying to create full page slideshows for my portfolio galleries (preferably with a thumbnail slider at the bottom). I have the full page slideshow on the homepage, but the slideshows on the galleries do not show 'full screen' photos unless you click them into full screen mode. I want 'full screen' as the default on certain galleries.

Can anyone help with this?

I'm not aware to link to a running gallery slideshow without the viewer clicking the slideshow button.

You might consider using the new fullscreen slideshow on a page - Did Someone Order a Full-Screen Homepage Slideshow?. The problem with this is that it slides under your normal elements, your site header, etc.; it is not the same as the slideshow invoked by using the slideshow button. If you do this you might also want to add an element on the page to allow the viewer to click into the gallery.
