Is it possible to hyperlink a slideshow

Hey wondering if it's possible to hyperlink a slideshow. If so does it involve code. Has anyone tried this?

I'm not aware to link to a running gallery slideshow.

You might consider using the new fullscreen slideshow on a page - http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=243821. The problem with this is that it slides under your normal elements, your site header, etc.; it is not the same as the slideshow invoked by using the slideshow button.
