    Your selection here just screams photoshop fakery. Not up to your usual fine standards.

    Anything specific that stands out. The first go around I thought he was too dark so I dodged it slightly but it looked better in photoshop that it now does on the forum, not sure why that is.

    Your selection around his head is what bothers me the most. The areas around his ear and the hair above his right ear look unnaturally linear with your cutting. I'm also drawn to the part of his jersey by his left shoulder which looks like it shouldn't have been selected.

    Do you do these with green screen or are you just freehanding your selection?

    Ok, I played with it more using your suggestions and adjusting the effect a bit more. The shoulder buldge was there but I removed it and did some correction around his head. For extraction I use Topaz ReMask which I like and not very expensive. You must keep enough separation between your subject and bkg and it works well.

    Much better now, Charles. The only place that still bothers me a little is the hair on the his right side above his ear.
