Tooks some pics of CLT over the weekend. Thoughts? CC? I am unsure of my skill.... I feel like I'm progressing, but then find my pictures are reviewed, and others see issues, I did not initially see.

That is a very normal aspect of the process of post/critique here... it's what makes this forum a great place to share and learn.
Opinions can be highly subjective, and so, filter them according to your own vision, sensibilities, and goals as a photographer.

On this one, it is a nicely exposed view of the city... works well as a document (clouds would have been nice).
I have an aversion to (most) centering, so I don't vibe with the globe - but that's probably one of those "subjective" things.

Agree with Eric. Looks like you've got the exposure part wired, but your composition could probably be improved. This looks like a good location to play around with. Maybe get in closer to the ball with a super-wide angle lens to make it look larger or even huge in the frame. Do it with a more interesting sky with puffy clouds reflecting in the globe. Offset it to a rules-of-thirds crossing. Maybe try a landscape orientation. I think I'd prefer to see more of the skyline rather than all that negative space of the blue sky. Try this in the sweet light hours of dawn or dusk. Lots of possibilities here. The best photos don't just capture a location, but they capture it at a fleeting moment in time where lighting and other environmental aspects contribute synergistically to the scene to make the composition unique.

Thanks for the suggestions! I love the suggestions.... I have a nice wide angle lens that would do great with a shot of the ball with a cool background in the sky!!! I'll post when it happens. Like you say.... its just capturing that fleeting moment. And time is needed for that
