Same scene on different days, one at dawn, one at midday. Both infrared. Criticism is always welcome.

The second shot just "pops" and is more what I'd expect an IR of cacti and scrub to look like. First shot appears odd for an IR, no doubt from the angle of light. What camera are you using for IR, if I might ask?

Definitely #2. I especially like how the cacti are seemingly in a row. Nice shot!

David, Stumblebum, JonaBeth, thanks very much for commenting. David, it's a Canon Rebel XTi that I had converted for IR after I got a better camera body. I like both, but I actually prefer the first one, which is more mysterious and keeps me looking longer. I'm glad to have anyone like either one.

Blonde saguaro! :D I too prefer the second but the first one is different!

I like #2 better for the same reasons... but, I like #1 a lot for the (more) surreal effect.

Hi Don. The first one reminds me of a 1950's sci-fi movie for some reason. I like it. But the second one definitely draws you into to it with the high contrast of the lighting. Cool effects!

Thanks, Joel. I'd say 50s sc-fi is apt, even though it's a minimally processed image.
