Chasing light and waves on coast

Did not intend to do landscapes but was prepared just in case. Was driving to Piedra Blancas, a rookery where elephant seals have made a huge come-back. Took highway-1 via Big Sur. Pulled over when there was a chance and interesting light. It also turned out to be a day for 15 foot high surf waves. All criticism is welcome and helpful pointers appreciated. Below are my attempts:
1) Light house pre-dawn
2) Light was changing every single moment
3) Sun eaten up by fog and clouds
4) Near St. Lucia
5) One half of rock-stack in Garrapata
6) Surfer's dream
7) Whiteout
8) Dusk
9) St. Lucia
10) Shooting into glare
11) Rock stack - Garrapata
12) Waves at dawn break in Piedras Blancas
13) Pre-dawn blue
14) Almost got taken out by this wave at rock stack
15) Near Gorda
16) Salmon Creek waterfalls
17) Lone rock
18) Angry Sea
19) Piedra Blancas Elephant seal congregation beach
20) Sun just went down

BTW there is a weekly contest on now at http://1x.com/weeklytheme with the theme of "Blue". It is free and the yearly prize is substantial. #13 would certainly fit in that theme.

Thanks Eia! Settings for #2, f-16, ISO 100, 1/50 shutter speed. To be honest, my wide angle lens (16-35mm) seems to give good results at f-16 and I leave ISO lowest I can, and since I had tri-pod, didn't care about shutter speed. I do take several shots in multiples of 1/3rd f-stops and lean in direction where exposure is improving, usually plus direction.
