I really like both of these, but my favorite is the second one! On the second one, I think a huge plate of spaghetti down in front of them would make for a comical portrait, being that they have that reddish brown around their mouths.

They're pretty awesome, have to say. Bryce, they'd be thrilled to play with you. It's what they do best! Just be warned - if you see a Beardie (and there are quite a few in Michigan), be prepared to get covered in kisses.... and (usually) muddy paws! The "Bouncing Beardie" is not a myth
Gary, the spaghetti is rather apposite, as these two are often so Lady and the Tramp it's not even funny. They are super well-matched temperaments (one of the reasons her owner/breeder decided they wanted her to live with us full time). They're hugely entertaining to watch.
And MG, feel free to add a lollipop - that's hilarious!!!!
PS For the record, this was actually bounce flash on the 5dII which had the 70-200 on it. Yup, really. I had an incredible small window to get the shot of these wiggling hooligans, and just grabbed the camera and fired off a few frames after I'd finished grooming her and got him up on the table next to her. Sadly, that also meant I lost a few - the lens was at 2.8 which was too shallow, but I shot first and checked second. Oh well - got two good ones plus these hilarious outtakes so can't complain (The "Adele is not impressed" shot completely cracks me up lol)
And yes, Beardies really ARE that expressive. They tend to have thought bubbles over their heads - I've never known another breed for such clear communication (especially when they're not entirely convinced humans aren't completely insane!)
I'm just seeing these now...so fun--love how they're flirting with the camera with hair in their eyes, love the tongue, the expressions, lighting, background. NICE!

Thanks all - they make us smile every day, so nice to know they've passed it on
Mitchell, I did this with them on the grooming table - captive clientele! He has an ok stay, but the attention span of an add butterfly. She's quite focused, but her stay is questionable. Be sure that the puppy is somewhere restricted, and have lots and LOTS of cookies in your pocket! A helper waving said cookies (or, even better, chicken, cheese, or liver!!) can also be useful.........

If I remember right, in the movie Lady & the Tramp, didn't they eat spaghetti? I think that was the reason I mentioned it.

She's been a frequent visitor in the past, but is now officially going to live with us full time - our brown Beardie boy LOVES her, and so do we!!
Welcome to the world of "traditional" portraiture.
The second one is calendar worthy. I'd call it "Fred and Ethel"
Me being a dog person, I wanna get on the floor and play with both of em.
