SmugMug Embed Exif Hover Plugin
![Alpha_Plus](https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/uploads/customavatars/53/navatar_46653.jpg)
Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone knows what plugin Trey Ratcliff has used on his new website for all his shots embedded from smugmug.
You can see it in action on his site: stuckincustoms.com.
Thanks

The pages shown when you click "View Portfolio" on Trey's site are directly from smugmug. The hover over the photos shows the photo caption (not exif); that is standard smug behavior.

Hi Denise,
I'm referring to his wordpress blog. He embed's his images into his blog posts and when the mouse hovers over them, the exif pops up.

That's right ChancyRat... Has anyone seen that plugin before?

Please check out my gallery of customisations for the New SmugMug, more to come!
Wouldn't it be better to find out from the source? The Site Design Credits at http://www.stuckincustoms.com/about-this-site/ might be a good place to start
EDIT: FWIW, I'm using a custom version of this plugin on my WP blog and it's working fine.
Good idea. I left a comment on one of his posts and Trey replied saying he didn't know the name. Maybe the web guys can help me out.
Would you mind posting a link to your WP blog so I can see it in action? It looks like an old plugin but good to know it still works. I assume you're on the latest WP build? And does it work even when pulling images hosted on SmugMug?
Thanks!

It works fine on images uploaded to SM since they changed the format of "Get a Link" URLs (sometime in June 2010). It doesn't work on images uploaded prior to the "Get a Link" format change.
I'm on WP 3.8.1 with auto-updates.
I would have asked the Heroes to look into the issue with old-format URLs but I know it would have been a waste of my time.
I wonder if it would still work with a light box. Maybe I could customise it to show it elsewhere. How much did you have to customise it?

I don't see why not, I'm no expert but I'd imagine that the code could be easily adapted by anyone with the right skills. Not sure about copyright and IPR implications though.
Not much - I used WP's plugin-editor to change the CSS for font-family, font-size, font-weight and line-height. No other changes.
Looks good. I'll have to try and get it working on my site. It seemed to give some errors and wouldn't show on a post I had already published. Does it have to be a new post?

Hmm... maybe the issue is theme-related rather than SM-related? My WP installation is up-to-date but it's running a theme which is quite old (Mike Little's Journalized Theme Version 2). Maybe the newer themes don't have the required hooks or whatever it is that allows older plugins to do their stuff?
I'll temporarily switch themes later today to see if the SM/EXIF/Shutter combi still works.
Thanks.
EDIT Found the reason... The image reference has to be in "" tags not ''. i.e.
<img src="imagesource.jpg"> not <img src='imagesource.jpg'>

I just checked mine and I don't see the F-stop title or value either, I'd not noticed that before so thanks for the heads-up.
Perhaps the plugin code is bugged?
Any chance of a link to where you've got it working, so I can have a peek at the page-source? Me and a tech-buddy have a few hours spare over the weekend, we might be able to tweak the plugin code to get the F-stop data to show.
Let me know how you go. I'd love to add "sec" or "seconds" after the exposure time, but not sure where to add it.
Ideally I was after a plugin that could pull the information from an image and display it anywhere on the page using a shortcode. Something like this plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/thesography/. But this one only works with images hosted in your wordpress media library.
I was thinking it would be cool to be able to call a function from the one we are using and define it as a short code.. i.e. [ displayexif url="image-source.jpg" ]
