Wet and hungry Hawks

Today in Bay Area we had damp morning but I went out any way before going to work. These Hawks were digging up Gophers for breakfast. They didn't care if it was raining or not. Wish I had some more light to make them glisten. I know they are wet because I was there, but does that show up in the pictures? Not sure.

Thanks Jeff! It did! I am learning hawks are just as nervous when it comes to people as any other bird.

I do think they look kind of drenched. What a fun thing to see, and great way to start the day! Best, Pam

Thanks Pam. It certainly was fun! Had I had better control and remained calm, I would gotten shots of the Hawks leaving with Gophers in their claws. I did but quality was poor. Maybe get lucky next time. Cheers!

Thanks Denise! I get vertigo if I keep staring at his eyes! ;o)

I disturbed them, they still managed to get their food, but I wasn't quick enough to capture it!

I checked your gallery.......great stuff...I liked best is what I would say fall in "macro" category. The flowers and butterflies! I picked off ideas that I plan to put to use next weekend....as have chance to shoot lady bugs and orchids! Cheers!
