Just a few of the headshots I did on Thursday. Kind of vanilla but that's what they wanted.

Dang, I wish I had your skill with studio light - you do the "traditional" setup, but make it look and feel fresh and current rather than "Sears"
Thanks Diva. Not too boring then? Was worried they were looking to Sears-ie.
I'm glad you mention the hot spot on 3. It was bothering me but I was too lazy to clone it out. I had planned to before I turn over the final product but now its a for sure kind of thing.
I know I've said this before but I will again... I find my Sekonic light meter indispensable and I owe the consistency I get in my lighting to it.

1)
i find the bright side to be too hot. the lad's deep set eye makes it look like it is about to pop out of the orbit due to the shadow
2/3) same thing, I think i'd bring it down just a wee bit.
4) love it. the whole thing except the tie.
it seems to be a bit too hot.

Thanks Diva. I guess you're right but the light meter does make it a bit easier.
I agree Hack. He was the shortest guy I photographed. Unfortunately, the seat I used and the stool I had, I couldn't get any higher of an angle so whatcha gonna do.
Hmm... I guess its subjective because I don't find them too hot. Although, I do agree that the tie in the last shot may be on the cusp.
