Remove text?

How do I remove the text that appears when I hover my mouse over the pictures inside a gallery?

    Aiyeee, I'm sorrry, you can't. You're one of (my guess) many millions who want that gone. I believe a request has been submitted to SM.

    The hover showing file names only shows when you are logged in to your site.

    If your photos have captions, the hover will show the captions to viewers who are not logged in to your site. As ChancyRat said in her post there currently is not an option to suppress this.
