I'd like to embed a Gigapan photo on my Smugmug site. I tried an HTML block, only to discover iframes are not supported. Is there any way to do this?

Here is the embed code they provided:
<iframe src="http://www.gigapan.com/gigapans/136600/options/nosnapshots,hidetitle,fullscreen/iframe/flash.html?height=250" frameborder="0" height="275" scrolling="no" width="100%"></iframe>

The photo is here:

We don't accept iframes, do they have any other ways of embedding the image available?

Not that I can find Eric; I'll try emailing them, but from past unanswered questions to them I won't hold my breath for a reply... :-P

Gigapan requires Flash, so no method of embedding will make it work on SmugMug (short of SM adding support specifically for Gigapan).

This is certainly one partnership SmugMug ought to consider, since I'm sure I'm not the only one with some quite large panoramas to display. There are some other companies that have rather good presentations for huge images, and I'm sure it will be very much welcomed by the community to be able to present their super large images in a way that protects the original image but allows the user to get a better idea of what's there.

A similar idea is the full resolution preview squares that FAA uses.

And, of course, being able to offer huge panoramic prints would be great, too. I don't know what lab FAA uses, but on their site the only dimension that matters is the vertical one. In other words, if you have a 7 inch by 15.2 inch print size, or 7 inches by 37 inches, FAA prints it that way. I will say that the two prints I've ordered with odd sizes like that have come back acceptable.

Well, that removes any support for embedding panoramas from Gigapan or 360Cities. Is there a way to do it via KRPano, self hosted? The instructions are here: http://krpano.com/docu/html/ I tried their example but the <script> lines get deleted after posting.

No, SmugMug doesn't allow you to embed any interactive content like this (that requires JavaScript and/or Flash). You'll have to host it elsewhere and just link to those pages from SmugMug instead.
