Last of the persimmons on the front yard tree. Canon 6D, 100-400 f4, 1/500, f5.6, iso 800, 360mm. This female? Southern variety? has been around for about a week now. I don't remember seeing one of these before.

Beautiful bird! Beautiful shot!! The color of its neck and the fruit are perfect match. I salute your discipline to try and get the whole bird in the frame and stopping at 360mm. I am greedy for close-up and would have sacrificed some of it to do so! Cheers!

It is a beautiful bird, isn't it? I'm finding a little more snap from this lens when it is a little short of 400.
