Nice composition! Colors are nice, but does sky really get this bright solid purple? Not sure if you added that as an effect, or just because of low light camera created purple cast or some processing issues.
Someday HDR would take over the world and create good pictures. Today it usually ruins the pictures, but I do think here it might have helped, especially the first shot where I am sure the two kissing heads are attached to bodies.
Thanks.... I know the purple looks fake.... it does get purple., granted I don't recall seeing it that purple..and that was how the camera captured it. I did not add any additional purple. The kissing couple was me and my husband....and trying to get him to do the shot was not easy....didn't want to push my luck by adjusting the camera to get another

Wow! Story always makes the shot better at least for me! I think composition for first one is aces! But in needs some processing or if you could capture using HDR, it would have exposed the bottom right! Sometimes camera does surprise as to what it sees vs. what we see. Most of the time it is good! Cheers!
OK..... you can laugh at me..... but I don't know how to do HDR yet . I have been taking pictures for years, but nothing artistically until the past couple of years. I have recently downloaded the "trial" of LR, which I'm loving. I was afraid to get it because I have PS Elements and have been so overwhelmed, I never have used it. I always just used my Canon software.....
So, haven't quite figured out "what" HDR is yet, but planning on purchasing the Adobe Cloud which include the LR and PS - and then doing the tutorials.
Just to clarify.... I love photography, and my goal is the master it to the point where professional look at my pictures and find quality in the pictures. I want to be proud and not ashamed of my pictures.....
That is one of the main reasons I joined this site. You all have provided me with really good CC - I'm incredibly thankful for it. I have always found the CC so good, I've literally gone into my pictures and made adjustments.
Love the shot of you and the hubby! Looks like you may have gotten a little carried away with the saturation slider, but its to your taste; some people love that look. In HDR, I think you really have to be careful with that, unless your not going for a realistic representation of the scene. A sure sign in my eye of an "over cooked" HDR is: black clouds (bugs me). Anyway, I love your silhouette, next time talk him into a few more shots, its hard to "nail it" on the first try. Would have tried to lower the camera a bit and get more of you guys in the shot for a better perspective. Very cool looking clouds.
