30 second exposure I took yesterday. Feedback welcome since I usually have people in front of my lens and not this kind of stuff. :scratch

Like it! Composition, leading lines, depth, light, details, reflection, smoothed water, exposure, POV, all pretty awesome!thumb.gifthumb The color cast, not sure what color that is, is also working.

Just the darkness at the edges in lower half might be excessive! Very pleasing shot though!

Thank you. I'm a portrait photographer so this is out of my element. I do enjoy shooting landscapes though.

The color cast is the white balance setting I used in post. I tried to pull a bit of color out of the sky and decided not to mask the effect from the rest of the image since I also thought it was pleasing.

    Thanks again for the comment.

Here is basically the same shot as above but without the long exposure and obviously with the ND filter removed. I went with a natural WB on this one.

Nice. It's fun to see the short exposure vs the long. I like both, but I especially like how the short exposure one leads the eye in... I think because of the sun.

Like them both but lean toward the long exposure. I suppose because of the dream like effect. "Stumblebum" review is right on.

Thanks. On the short exposure, I noticed that the white water would come in and create a nice leading line towards the horizon so I waited for it to take the shot. Took a few frames to get it in the right spot but I guess it worked out. clap.gif

Thanks. I also like the long exposure better. Not sure if its because its the first time trying it but I also like the surreal affect. thumb.gif

Mr. Cuban, I think you found yourself a new realm of photography. Nice images! Like the long exposure a little better.

Call me crazy, but I greatly prefer the second one! I love how you froze that wave half-way up the beach. It's just a far more interesting composition to me.

Thanks Joel. And I can honestly say I planned it that way. One of the few times I get something right on purpose. HAHA.
