How to prevent bio photo showing on social media posts

Is there a way to keep my profile photo on my Contact form, but prevent it from appearing every time I share my website link on Facebook? I shared the link with friends, only to realize my photo appears with it. I removed the photo, posted the link, but each time friends Share my link (originally posted without the photo attached), my bio photo appears with it. Yikes! Can that be prevented, but still have my photo appear on my Contact Form and About Me page?

And to clarify, it's the homepage link I'm sharing on social media, not the Contact form or About Me page.

I figure I can replace the photo of me with something else (one of my nature photos for example), but I'd like to keep the photo of me on the two pages. I'm just unsure if it's possible to keep my portrait on the two pages but have something else display when I paste the link to my site on other venues.

Thanks for any help!

Alice

You'll want to go through here:

And follow some of the steps they have outlined to get that photo set to what you want.

Thanks Eric, but I'm not sure that will fix my problem. I'm using the Sierra theme on my site and because of the full-size slideshow on the homepage, there's noplace to include an HTML content box which is what I'd need to include the image source meta tag. Do you have suggestions on that? Can I include that tag in an HTML block on another page/gallery (however, the link to the homepage is what I post on Facebook).

Is there not a simple way to keep my profile photo on my Contact Form and About Me page, but delete it from my Profile (in Account Settings)?

I think I can do a FB post as a photo and include a custom photo with the link. It appears that's a workaround. I just wish there was an easier way to post my link and have it *not* include my profile photo, but a photo from my galleries.

Why can't you add the html content block to your homepage? It's not going to be visible code so it should be fine to throw in at the bottom of the page.

Maybe I misunderstood how that would work on the homepage. I'll give that a try. Thanks Eric.
