While I really really like slow shutter seascape images, and yours are all very good, that second shot of the oil derrick is superb. Well done.

Both are great shots -- and in particular the oil rig. Love the long exposures. Are you using any kind of filter on the lens?

Polarizer in both and first is stopped down to f/16 to get 1/2 sec shutter to blur the water. The first is also bracketed for foreground/sky.

Due to the beach underneath, the water appears bit muddy, and I think the white splotches on both left and right ridges, not sure if they bird droppings or not, are throwing #1 off. Sky is pretty but for whatever reason the rocks are not glowing with golden light! I wonder if there is another POV where the setting sun can be centered on the channel and act as leading line towards sun, and if long enough exposure can be achieved to smooth out the water more.

#2 appears much better on my work monitor which is brighter. At home the blue was super dark blue in lower half. Love the layers second one has!! Rig is nice, I personally would have been praying for a ship with triple white sails!

Need to go to SF dock to see if some interesting light and ship can be caught! Cheers!
