Wide Spot in the Road
Not far from my home is a roadside attraction called Bravo Farms. It's an interesting, eclectic place that makes cheese, offers wine tasting, has a respectable restaurant, and is loaded with fun, interesting things to see and do for kids and grown-ups alike. The actual location is called Traver, but it's part way between Bakersfield and Fresno.
There's no end of interesting old "antiques" to be had.
There is something of a petting zoo with goats, llamas, and turkeys. This fellow wasn't begging to be petted.
My little boy found plenty to climb on. He really seemed to dig it.
I love the light in this picture of my daughter.
They boast a five-story tree house which was a real hit with both the kids.
As I said, a little bit of everything.
More great light. . . .
If you're ever traveling on Hwy 99, I recommend this place as worth a visit. And the Habanero cheddar is to die for.
