Does homepage slideshow have to be in a Folder?

I've just finished moving all my Galleries out of Folders so the visitor won't have to do any extra clicks to view the Galleries (previously, some Galleries were hard to find if they were inside Folders).

So I moved all this only to discover that my Homepage Slideshow still shows up as a Folder on my Browse page. ARGHH! It looks weird with just one folder by itself. I only want Galleries and Pages to be visible there.

Is there any way to still keep my homepage slideshow (which rotates through 5 photos), but not have it in a Folder on the Browse page?

Here's my site: www.alicethompsonphotography.com

I found some info here, but I'm not sure it covers my question:

You lost me, the slideshow is a "slideshow" box you slid out to the page. Nothing to do with folders.

I may not be explaining it very well, Allen. My apologies. When you look at my Browse page, you'll see the Folder called Homepage Slideshow. Below that is all my Galleries. Is there a way to hide or get rid of the single "Homepage Slideshow" folder without killing my actual slideshow? (I migrated from Legacy, if that helps.)

I only want my Galleries and Pages to show on the Browse page.

I'm thinking I need to move the Homepage Slideshow gallery out of the "Other" folder and into the root directory, correct? Here's my current setup:

    Root directory
    - Other (Folder)
    -- Homepage Slideshow
-- a couple of hidden, unlisted galleries
    - Animals (gallery)
    - Architecture (gallery)
    - etc.

That would still allow the homepage slideshow to work, right?

There is no need for your slideshow gallery to be public, make it unlisted with External Embedding (external linking) on.

The "other" folder will not show if everything in it is unlisted.

Ah ha! That seemed to do the trick! Thank you Allen! I didn't realize it could be unlisted. Once I changed that and turned external linking on, that fixed it. Thanks so much! You saved me a lot of headaches.
