Assigning login to editor for a folder of galleries?

I've got a query on how I might assign a login to one person so they would be able to edit (descriptions and tags) galleries/photos within a particular folder.

I don't want to do this myself as there are too many photos and I know of a few people who would do this better than me.

The key thing is I want them only to have this access to the one folder of galleries and not any others on my site.

The only thing I'm aware of is the Assistant log in but it's site wide.
