I'm not sure what you mean when you say you redirected your blog to your site. Your options are listed earlier in this thread. If you want to include the ability to comment on the blog posts I don't believe you can use an RSS feed - you would need to expose your full blog.
I have a blog on blogger where I've matched the overall look (header) to my smugmug site. The sites are different from a URL and hosting standpoint but they are viewed as one. All features of blogger are available to me. You can see my smug site and blog by following the links in my signature.
A link to your site would help.
To add a site link to your signature, click the clipboard icon on the navbar above, then Edit Signature. Begin your link with http:// to make it clickable.
my idea was to add what i was going to shoot that day to the blog and it would come up in my site on the blog, if that's even possible, im a beginner so i don't understand a lot of things, i tried following the steps and i just cant figure it out.
i had a blog page but got frustrated with it and deleted it, this is my site now http://www.zwellsphotography.com/
when you click view blog in blogger sends you straight to my page, i tried to redo it without the domain that i already owned and cant change it at this point unless i delete my account which is not an option at the moment.

What URL are you using for your blog?
If you click view blog in blogger and it sends you to your smugmug site then you need to remove the domain you have set up in blogger - or perhaps replace it with a subdomain.
You can remove the custom domain in blogger and reset it to either the blogger default or to a subdomain. In Blogger, go to Settings... Basic... Publishing.
If your sharing process begins with words and photos then sharing first via a blog might make sense. But you need to decide where your photos will reside. I write in by blog often but I always pull the photos from my smugmug site. If I'm traveling and want to share a few (usually phone) photos before I get home then I load those to an unlisted gallery in smugmug and I reference them from my blog. If I'm home and I know it will take a few days to finish a gallery then I also will upload a few photos to an unlisted gallery to be shared in my blog. Otherwise I usually load my smug galleries first, then reference the photos in my blog.

If you want to match the look of your smugmug site you will need to be familiar with CSS and HTML. You would need to view the source for your smugmug site and replicate it for your blog.
If you are not experienced with code then I would recommend not matching the sites. You can easily add a content block to your blog that replicates your menu in your smugmug site. You would do that by going to the blog layout and adding a Gadget.
How much do you think you will blog? Will it be just an occasional post, or something that you will do often? I prefer using a blog outside of my smug site, but for just an occasional post you might consider blogging within your smugmug site. Take a look at https://school.smugmug.com/SmugMug-Tips/How-to-Make-a-Photo-Blog.

For example, http://www.zwellsphotography.com is your smug site, you could use http://blog.zwellsphotography.com for your blog URL.
