PW folder but not galleries within to allow social sharing

Just a thought but couldn't you differentiate the galleries within a folder from the folder - without them taking on the properties of the folder - so you could PW the folder - protecting the person(s) photographed but leaving the individual gallery or galleries un-locked so that social sharing could take place. I'm running into the same problem shared by many - the people in the individual galleries of an overall locked folder would really like to share specific shots (FB, twitter) with others (perhaps paying family members) and have only email as the choice...
