Log in/out

Every time I log in or out the gallery returns to the first page and I lose what photo I was on.

For log in especially, return to the exact photo viewing. If I see a caption or keyword that needs editing
I log in. But then I have to refine that photo somewhere in my gallery.

Can you post a link to a specific gallery? What gallery style are you seeing this issue in?

It happens in my Smugmug style /popular gallery. Also in regular Smugmug style galleries. The 1st one I
checked it remained on the photo but further checking a couple galleries it went to the first page.

BTW, I'm logging in with the default login next to Powered by SmugMug in the footer.
Logging out clicking my profile thumb in the drop in header.

The popular page log in link does pick up the photo ID but does not use it after logging in.

Bump - Losing where you are in a gallery when logging in is lost. This happened a years ago and was
quickly fixed. Why the delay now in fixing this?

I agree with Allen, this is a pain. It happens also when I'm using the link emailed to me to view an order and it doesn't take me right to the order like it used to do on the old SM.

I logged out just now and the resulting page came up in lightbox :pissed

Logging out should stay at the place you were in the gallery. This is a huge pain
in the neck finding the place you were before logging out.

Just logged in and lightbox came up again.

Now logged out on page 4 and 1st photo (video) in gallery came up in lightbox.
Now logged in on page 4 and 1st photo (video) in gallery came up in lightbox.

Cleared cache
Log in and out goes to 1st photo (video) in gallery now.

Please fix this. I logged out of a photo deep in a gallery and it returned to 1st photo in gallery.

Thanks for the suggestion. Please see the feedback forums for the status of all feature requests. Since all discussion on this topic seems to have been discussed (and I concur with you, logging in and out should take you to the same place you were at), I'll be closing this thread.
