"Organize site" function not working

I tried it this morning and again this afternoon, on several galleries. The organize-site control brings up the usual screen except that there are no images and there's no directory. Is anyone else getting this?

Hi Cornflake,

Can you make sure that your Browser, Flash Player, and Java are all up to date and running the most current version?

Can you try to log out of your account, clear your cache and cookies in your browser? You can learn how to do this here: http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

Scott, thanks for the prompt response. I logged out and logged back in. No help. I cleared the cache and cookies. Also no help. I tried to flush the DNS cache twice, and I know I followed the instructions. I'm not sure if anything happened, but the organize function still doesn't work.

Which web browser are you using? I've seen JavaScript applications like SmugMug get broken by malware which is adding its own broken JS code to the page. So, for example, in Google Chrome you should click the menu button, then tools, then extensions, then disable or delete any extensions that you didn't explicitly install.

Lamah, that was interesting. I use Google Chrome mostly. I followed your instructions and found so many extensions I didn't know where to begin. Then I tried Internet Explorer and the organize function worked fine. So apparently there is some connection to the browser being used, and it isn't SmugMug's fault. Thanks.

It would help out SmugMug's support and other customers who are having the same problem if you could identify which extension was causing it: Try unticking "enabled" on all the extensions, then reload the organise page and try again. If that fixes it, try turning half of the extensions back on and see if it breaks it, if so then examine those ones until you narrow down the one extension that's causing it, if not then examine the other half. Then post the details about the culprit!

I'd be happy yo do that, but when I go to Tools / Extensions I get:

I get no options until I click "Get more extensions," then there are many dozens to hundreds. So I don't know how to do what you suggest.

Ah "get more extensions" actually means "go to the Google app store to find more things to install", it doesn't list other extensions that you already have installed. You don't want to click that

I did, and the organize page started working. I don't know what to make of that, but thanks very much for pointing me to a solution!
