Can I hide gallery photos and have slideshow?

I have several galleries and they are currently the Smugmug style. If I change their style to Slideshow, the images are not displayed as large as I would like. If I customize onto the page a slideshow, the images displayed are much larger with this slideshow than the Slideshow style.

For simplicity vs creating new pages, can I do something to a gallery to have it not display the photos in the gallery so I can just add in a slideshow and use the photos from the gallery?
