Walking around the small backyard I have paid off in terms of finding bugs....The spider appears to be enjoying its dinner! Whether I did it justice or not, the fact it has only 2 eyes, and looks like a squirrel and it appears like it is looking at me, made my day!:lust
I tried to apply my newly acquired knowledge (Thanks Brian!). One issue that is not resolved is lens blocking my own flash....trying to figure out correct flat bracket. Any and all criticism and helpful pointers are cherished! Cheers!

Re a bracket - the polaroid heavy duty L bracket (amazon) is ok but the little ball head needs replacing with something a bit more practical. You will also need an off camera flash cord. See http://www.flickr.com/photos/lordv/7675112472/in/set-72157594293307036
