Went for a walk this arvo. They are having a bit of a 'boat night' on the river but i was too early...i'd rather the 6.30 pm light anyway.

I'd totally lost my light by this time...they were a fair way from the beach.

G'day mate...about 20 mins before the sun went downne_nau.gif no blue. 300+ sunny days/year does get very boring.

Nice, nice shots. Love the blue of the water, boating...warmthumb.gif

We have had wonderful blue skies last couple days, also been colder than a well diggers arse

    Tks Thusie
rolleyes1.gif My grandfather dug wells & always told us that he got to 90 feet in one once & it filled with water so fast that his tools & lunch are still down there ! I owned a 38' trawler that i lived on for a few years & as they say the 2 best days of your life are the day you buy your boat & the day you sell it. I do still love boats though....the older & stinkier the better.

Cool pictures, Gus. That river looks like one huge marina.

Your City Cat shot reminded me of the Thundercat in Cape May, NJ.

I grew up on the old wooden Chriscraft Cabin Cruisers. Of course our inland river cruisers are much different than your vessels. It's true what they say about boats - it gets in your blood.
My uncle had one like this

    Ours looked like this

Great shots, I could spend hours just looking at all the different kinds.

Thanks for sharing your world with us.

eek7.gif Hang on..i'll put my hand out the window & wave. Our old live aboard trawler is in that shot.

Actually a city cat (like the google one) goes past here every 10 or 15 mins. They are our river ferrys. There are about 10 of them.

Tks for looking mate... ours is $2.50 to ride on whereas yours looks a tad dearer.

They are certainly cool old boats SD. There is a local company here making the models such as your uncles & selling them back to the europeans..tough market they recon.

Cool shots Gus, really like seeing pics of the area. Stupd question, is the castle a res. or a clubhouse type deal?

We have something like that at the stinking swamp 2 miles away, the water wouldn't be blue even shot with a Nikon:D Only high point is the antique boat show they have every year.
