if i publish now the website whit the name xxxxx.smugmug.com i can later change this with another domain name I have in use with old (to be replaced) website?

Yes.

You will just need to set up your custom domain. See help page at http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93340-how-do-i-set-up-a-custom-hostname-domain-.

When you refer to "use with old" do you mean your legacy site? If so, you should notice no
difference, the domain will still apply to the new site. Nothing to do.

what is legacy??? at moment my active website (not in smugmug) is www.stefanositzia.com (hosted by aruba.it)
the smugmug (not online yet) is www.stefanosit.smugmug.com
i want make online the www.stefanosit.smugmug.com and in future i want use the 1st domain registered and hosted with smugmug website.

That's the way I started, since I had my main domain - tomoscott.com - pointing to another server. When I was sure I liked SmugMug, I changed the DNS settings and pointed the domain to SM. I think it took Google about 3 days to update the indexes.
