Why is "proof" appearing on my images?

I just uploaded a couple of images to a gallery, and the word "proof" is written in large letters across the center of each photo. There is no proof delay setting for this gallery, and they are the same size as all of my other images.

What is this from, and how can I get rid of it?

That's the default smugmug watermark. To remove it (or reset it to the proper watermark) go into the watermark tool in organizer.

Is there a watermark set for that gallery? If there is, is that watermark available to be used?

I've had this happen a few times in the past even though my watermark was specified; it didn't happen in a consistent enough pattern for me to report it and I wasn't willing to leave the proof watermark in an attempt to debug it because it prevented viewers from seeing the images.

Thanks, Denise. They were in a gallery that was watermarked, and I even tried watermarking them separately. What worked was watermarking the entire gallery all over again. I guess this is a small bug, but one I can live with.
