Back in 2011, on our way back to TN from AK, we parked overnight in the desert of Utah for a little shuteye. The next morning, when we looked out the window of our van, we saw a nice little mini-mountain (bigger than a foothill, smaller than a giant mountain) right beside us!

So, of course, we climbed it. It was a good thing, too, because I was able to capture this blowing, whirling salt-devil in the distance, roaring through the Bonneville salt flats.

For a little perspective, that little shiny thing in the lower right hand area of the photo is our high-top, fully converted camper van. Enjoy!

I've been to Bonneville Salt Flats several times, but not enough to adequately photograph it. But, I've definitely never seen it from this view. Just looks like the Great Salt Lake to me

That's cool -- I like the processing and the big sky. Maybe straighten horizon line? Kinda looks like it's running uphill a tad.
