Google Plus Page Integration -- Where to put code?

Hello all, I did my best to find the answer before posting a help topic, but I am stumped.
On my Google Plus page, I am given an HTML code to place on my Smugmug homepage to link my Google Plus account to my Smugmug account.

I have already completed this by adding G+ to my social section, but the link keeps coming back unverified by Google. I've even tried just adding the code to an HTML box and still the code doesn't verify.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like Google is looking for authorship. On my site, I have custom menus so I added 'rel="author" there. You can add a HTML/CSS block on your home page. Change the 'Your Name' to you name.

Just an observation...Using my 1024 x 768 monitor, I can't see your social icons unless I resize my monitor (I won't do it normally). Also the icons of your "Home" and "About" navigation don't display.

Hello Hikin' Mike, thank you very much for the reply and for letting me know about the nav icons/social icons. I did notice that the nav icons were not visible in Chrome (though they are in FF). But I had no idea about the social icons!

I use FF (XP) and I don't see the icons.

Your nav doesn't scroll so the social icons will appear and disappear based on browser size. They are not visible on a 10" netbook, partially visible on a 12" netbook. They are visible on smaller screens because your menu collapses.

You might want to check your site on different screen sizes using http://quirktools.com/screenfly.
