I like the top one. There's a nice "mood" to it. There is the tip of a branch in the upper right corner that's distracting - I'd suggest cloning it out.

The second image doesn't do much for me. There's less mood to it, and I'm left wondering what the subject is. There's an empty bench, there are some mossy limbs, and some weeds on the horizon. Plus, there's something in the upper right corner again ;-)

I really like the idea in second one Jeff! Barely visible house is cool! thumb.gif If you had some old man sitting on bench and staring at it, that would be nice! I would have hit this from many angles and hope to pick the best one. One of my attempts would have been to only have bench as the foreground element and nothing else.....and place it in various locations....getting down on knees to get low....etc. Both shots have something in top right corner that could be cropped out. Cheers!

Thats what I was going for on that second one! You could BARELY see that house in the background. I didnt notice the top corners though, thanks for pointing those out. I'll crop them out. I got there around 6:30am so I think its too early for even old men to be walking around in a park lol!!

I'll crop that branch out! The second image has the same problem....cant believe I missed that! The subject I think was the house in the background....it was what I was going for. I took so many shots trying to JUST get it to show but not be right there. It was very foggy out so I think I did a pretty good job and getting it to show over the lake. Stupid branches though, I usually get that stuff out of there. Sorry :(
