Been a lurker for a while and met a couple of members from here a few weeks ago - so took there advice and signed up
so here's a few of my recent shots that I have shot, I am a Canon user the shots posted below were taken with my 20D - or more recently bought the 1 dmkN which is a nice camera that I like a lot
any way here's the kind of stuff I like to shoot

    shots 1 & 2 were taken using a Canon 300mm 2.8IS in hooked upto a canon 1.4x converter
    Shot 3 was taken with a Canon 135mm F2
    shot 4 was taken with a Canon 200mm 1.8 with the 1.4x converter
    shot 5 was taken with the Canon 300mm 2.8
    shot 6 was taken with a Canon 17-40 F4

    How did you get close enough to an owl in broad daylight to catch it with a 135mm lens!?! that is a great shot.

    it was in a falconary center about 40 miles from where I live

    Nice shots you should have brought your 300 2.8 to Armthorpe, last week it was nice and dry no mud :D

    Love the owl (too bad you clipped his wing :-( But, the one that really got me was the side shot of the Harrier (aircraft not bird....lol). Where the heck were you when you took that? On a hill and he was crusing the valley? Or,were you in another plane chasing him ;-)

    Either way, I like that perspective alot. It almost looks like the pilot is staring back at you....Laughing.gif

    Good work and I hope to see more of it posted,

    Ha Ha... dont tell the wife
    I am into aviation Photography.. and have been for about 15 years, this year I have attended about 6 Airshows and do regular Base visits.. to photocalls etc
    recently attended the big Airshow at Nellis in Nevada USA which is where I got a face full of that Lovely F22 Raptor

    will post more in the coming year, as well as doing some customisation of my smugmug web gallery, as this place looks the place for a lot of good help in that department
