I'm glad I found this place. I found it in a google search the other night. I look forward to hanging out here. It may take a while for me to get to know you all, so I'll start by sharing some photos from my collection. I haven't looked around on this forum much as of yet since I just found it, but I like what I see so far. I enjoy landscape photography, people photography, and astrophotography. I used an AstroTrac to photograph the Milky Way with my D800/E. It's a great device.

Really cool stuff.... not too many of us post Astrophotog stuff, so your killer shots will be a very welcome addition to the landscape forum!
Love the landscapes as well... Texas country... I am glad that we'll be seeing some great work from the big country.
Welcome to the group and be sure to post frequently... some of us respond a lot and some (like me ) don't take the time they should to respond to every post.... time slips away I guess. But people look and for the most part appreciate.

Your Milky Way shot is spectacular as well. Is that your Dobson telescope in your avatar?
I look forward to seeing more of your astrographs, a subject I want to learn more about also.

Here is another astrophoto. This is M31, the Andromeda galaxy and it is approximately 2.8 million light-years from Earth. I took this with my AstroTrac and my Nikon D800 with the older Nikon 500mm f/8 mirror lens (bought it used for $200) and it's great for this type of photography. The exposure was 8 minutes at ISO 2000.
