Trouble Allowing a Client to Download

In the past I would set certain clients galleries to view Original, and they would be able to see the download icon. This was a very convienent means to get images to my customers. I recently tried this with an engagement shoot. I set their gallery to veiw Original, but the download icon is not showing up for them.

Did something change? What setting do I need to modify?

For the download button to show you need to enable originals *and* disable protection in the gallery settings.
