Sharing on Social Media

When someone shares an image of mine on social media, is there any way of checking who and where they have shared, or at least how many times an image has been shared?

    The only place I know of where a counter is available, is with the Facebook like button that you can add to your site with the share buttons content block. Apart from that, I don't know of any way to keep track of shares.
