    goose
I love the detail; and I hate to make a bad remark, because I don't do so well myself, but it would be perfect without the distracting background. I wish I could capture that kind of close up.

I have a couple more similar to this one on my smugmug page, one where it has it mouth open showing its teeth.

I wish the backgrounds were better for sure but they were just taken at random.

Funny thing is this Goose would NOT get away from the lens, I was hoping that the flash would scare him/her away and it didnt make a bit of difference.....Laughing.gif

If anyone can help identify this Goose please help. I have tried and can not find out what type it is.

Its not a regular Canadian Goose and I have checked in book after book to try to find it with no luck. I have looked on the net also.

    Nice web sitethumb.gif

If your asking about the red faced ducks they are called Muscovy Ducks. I used to work in my parents feed store and in the spring they would sell baby ducks, geese, and assorted poultry.

Not to high jack your thread but I found your goose's twin:

there is 5 pairs at the local lake. They were very interested in my camera.

UGH! Last time I tried to get a close up of one of those birds I ended up getting nipped in my CHEST and ended up with a bruise there for a few days! Laughing.gif!
