afraid you missed on this shot....its not the shot really. Its just the processing. I process shots like that when its originally blurry.....

Thanks for the look and comment, but what do you object to in the processing?

Most of the shots posted in here in "Documentary" have been - historically - in
black and white. While color has been used when color significantly adds to
the image, the preference has been to black and white.

Color adds nothing to this shot.

good point....while I agree with you 100%, its just a bit too noisy for my taste. Sorry for the negative comment, however. =\

A negative comment is as much appreciated - maybe more - than a positive
comment. I post here so I can determine how other people see my images.
I'm too biased to see the flaws. I like to know what others see.

It was a noisy image, but reducing noise reduces detail, so I went for
a grainy look and didn't use a noise reduction program.

I think that was a good choice. The detail in the beard is well rendered, and in any event I'm not bothered by the noise.

    Noise not a problem, here

Good separation between two subjects, makes him jump right out

Don't like her clenched teeth expression, not much photog can do about that

Great shot, Tony. It's an image that demands that the viewer scan the entire picture....for fear of missing something. Your chosen PP work is spot on....at least to my taste....for this kind of setting.
    Well done. thumb.gif

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.
