Jumping on this thread before it fades...

These are from Panther Beach/Hole in the Wall beach. This is just a little north of Santa Cruz. The afternoon had a lot of low clouds, but they really lit up when the sun dropped below them at sunset. I have a bunch more, but these seem to be the most popular.

Thanks,

Mike

#4 is wonderful. That would look amazing printed large. Wow. Need to find this beach next time I'm up there.

Thanks. To get to this particular spot, you need to go through the "hole" from Panther beach. If the tide is high, you may end up with wet feet. Also, be prepared because this particular beach can sometimes attract the clothing optional crowd. I haven't really seen much of a problem, but it's something to be aware of.

Thanks. I've been to Ano Nuevo, Davenport, and San Gregorio. I've heard good things and I should plan a visit there. I think the weather window is closing and the fog will be moving in soon.

Super series, Mike. Very inspiring. I love Panther Beach and you did it justice. This place has soooo many looks depending on the tide conditions and lighting. First one has a one or two pixel-width halo where the rocks meet the water that I'd fix if I were going to sell it. Otherwise, only those of us that have battled them would notice. deal.gif

Hope you didn't mind the one nit. It's really a fabulous series otherwise. clap.gif

Thanks kdog. I think the halo is from flickr's sharpening. I don't see it on the original.

I'm glad you like the shots. It's a beautiful spot and I really like heading there.
