When I first created my new site on my search page only keywords showed up. Now on the search page the image number for each individual image shows up. Is there a way to remove all these number other than deleting the information in each individual photo?

First, make sure you have the site setting to add file name keywords turned off. You will find that in Account Settings > Discovery > Search.

I'm not aware of a way to remove all of the numeric keywords at once but they can be removed in Edit Captions & Keywords by selecting "Remove Numeric" from the quick entry dropdown.

I don't know if it's possible to edit all of the keywords from a smart gallery.

Hopefully someone else has a better method of removing them.

Thanks, Denise. Yes that setting was turned on. Is this a new option with the new Smugmug? When I first created my site none of the numbers were on my search page.

Now that I have turned this setting off does it automatically remove the keywords from the file name or are the number stuck in the keywords now?

That setting only controls behavior when photos are uploaded to your site.

You will need to edit your galleries to remove the existing numeric keywords.

I created an unlisted smart gallery at the top level that I use for specifically for editing keywords. I had
used it to delete numbered keywords but you can only do five at a time.

If you find a specific gallery with lots of numbers it's best to do the gallery by removing the numbers in bulk.
