What happened to the SM in address bar?

I am no longer able to get the SM indicator in my address bar. I'm using the latest version of Chrome. In the past when this happened I just clicked on the reload button on the tool bar and it came up. Read some where if you placed your cursor in the address bar and hit enter it would bring it up, that did not happen for me.

Is this resource no longer available?

Thx

You might just need to login again to refresh your session. Since you pulled out the footer so you don't have a login link on your page you will want to go to our homepage and login there.

Hi Eric, thx for answering my post. I've tried your suggestion and that doesn't work either. Another suggestion?

Make sure that you're using your ".smugmug.com" domain name instead of your custom one (so that's http://mikesabatini.smugmug.com/ ).

You can double check that you still have the extension installed by clicking Chrome's menu button, then Tools -> Extensions. Make sure that the "Unofficial SmugMug extension for Chrome" is on the list somewhere, and "Enabled" is still ticked next to it. If it isn't there any more, you'll need to reinstall it from my website:

EDIT: Actually, try unticking "enabled" next to the extension in Chrome's settings and ticking it again. Might fix it.

I've now released version 0.3.0 of this extension which solves the issue with the "SM" icon disappearing from the address bar during page load and after navigating through galleries (it it now reshown after about 500ms delay).

If you've installed the extension already, Chrome should update you to this version automatically within a few hours. To manually update, click the menu button, then Tools->Extensions. Tick the "developer mode" tickbox at the top right, then click "update extensions now". You should see the version number next to the Unofficial SmugMug Extension for Chrome update to 0.3.0 after a couple of minutes.

If you haven't installed the extension already, you can get it here by clicking the green button:

Thanks for your reply. I checked the Chrome extensions and it was no where to be found. How on earth does something like that disappear. In any event when I get more time today I will down load and install the new extension. Thanks again for your time and help.

I downloaded and tried to drag and drop and t appears Google has changed how they allow extensions to be installed. From what I got out of it you have to go to their store to install extensions, or to download from a 3rd party site the site has to add something that lets a person install from that site. Not sure if I'm relaying information correctly but that is how I understood it. Any suggestions?

When you click the button, it'll give you some warning that you can't install it. Ignore it, it'll download it for you anyway. Open up Chrome's extensions page (menu > tools > extensions), then drag and drop the downloaded extension file onto Chrome, it should prompt you to install.

When I drag it to the extension page nothing happens, it returns it to the downloaded position on the bottom of the chrome page. There then is a message at the top that states this app can't be installed. When I did research as to why not what I found was that all extensions have to come from the chrome extension store or the third party has to some way include an installation button on the program on their site. Not at home right now but that is what I remembered from this morning.

Try navigating to your Chrome downloads folder in your OS (i.e. Windows' Explorer or Mac's Finder), and drag from there, not from the browser.
